Halcyon Rehabilitation is looking for a Physical Therapist in St. Petersburg, Florida. We have a 96 bed SNF with a nice size rehab gym. The rehab gym is surrounded by a bank of bay windows which draws a lot of natural light and feels like we are working outside Our gym is equipped with ACP program for modalities including diathermy, ultrasound, estim, and much more. What makes us unique – the building has plans of a remodel that would make it the newest facility in the area. JOB DESCRIPTION BASIC FUNCTION The staff Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients/residents, communicates with families, physicians, and other health team members and maintains documentation of services in the medical record. Conducts in-services and training for facility staff on an ongoing basis in restorative techniques. CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
EXPOSURE RISK The Physical Therapist is at high risk for exposure to blood and body fluids. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services or Designee for both administrative and patient/resident care responsibilities. SUPERVISION EXERCISED Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides as delegated. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited college or university with a bachelors or masters degree in Physical Therapy. EXPERIENCE Two years experience as a therapist is preferred.
